I love HyperX products: USB, RAM, headsets, etc. But this product just couldn't be compared to anything they had done before. It was terrible highs, mids, highs and muffled bass (albeit boosted). I don't understand the purpose of this article at all. I even tried it with regular headphones, 7.1 HD headphones and even bought a new headset. I've tried it on other PCs as well. Still muffled, crappy sound quality. Also in games. The only good thing I can say about it is that it sounds good in games, but it's not worth paying for. Just add +30 to your headset/headphone budget and you'll get the best pair. Or, if you want a real amp, check out FiiO or AT. Several other well-known brands. HyperX/Kingston, please enable.
