These rags were great. There are a lot of them, so we spread them around the house. 10 in the garage, 5 in each car, then 5 in the bathroom/kitchen cleaning bag. After they were washed, they cleaned and polished our steel and chrome well. After washing and drying, no pile remains and the fabric shrinks, making the weave nice and tight. We washed a lot of other red items because other reviews said it leaves a lot of lint on other items. Our pool towels are red so we had that option. Because of this, I don't know if they left fluff or not, but you might want to get a load if you like the colors together. We'll be ordering more different colors so we can paint which color goes where so we don't end up with nasty garage rags in the kitchen wiping down our stove and countertops.
