The room has incredible acoustics. It came as a surprise. Prior to that, I had a lot of respect for the SOLO 3 from the microlab, which had been reliable for a number of years. The sound is quite detailed, which, as someone who is not particularly sophisticated, works perfectly for me. The speakers are on the left and right, yet the sound appears to emanate clearly from the middle of the device. This is one of the aspects of the design that I do not understand.
