I had high hopes for this table mount, I have 3 possible tables it could probably work on but due to the clamp it only worked on 1 and that was what I needed the least. It didn't work for one table, it has a rectangular cut out on the solid back, the cut out allows access to the underside of the table top, the problem was the cut out wasn't deep enough and the underside of the clamp screw didn't have enough clearance. The surface has an actual thickness of 1.25 inches, with the notch extending 2.5 inches below the bottom of the surface. I just couldn't insert the clip straight, if the screw was a little shorter it would work. On the other table the frame is flush with the surface which is about 2 inches between the surface and the frame, the clamp couldn't open that far. The table he was working on was 0.5 inch thick and the surface protruded so far beyond the frame that it could slip and pinch
