Review on Efficient LED A19 Light Bulb: An Energy-Saving Equivalent by Jim Larson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Surprisingly brighter!

I bought these to get away from those crazy GU24 A19 bulbs that are expensive and hard to find so I can upgrade to these less expensive E16 base = standard screw bulbs. So glad I did because when I tried to turn them off, they hadn't been on for a long time and were too hot, I noticed the stickers were discoloring due to the heat = not good. Although the light output is 800 lumens they are just as bright or brighter in my opinion, the bathroom light has gone from 24W to 18W and the kitchen lights have stayed the same but are bright enough so I only needed one light bulb for each Lamp. I prefer warm 3000K bulbs, the bulbs above are too fluorescent, cold and hard. Love for the price was another reason to switch to these bulbs, which I use with these DiCUNO GU24 to E16 base adapters that you can find at Revain. The reviews were better than the ones that appear too much when you search. Even with adapters, they fit perfectly into the lamps, I'm ok. 8-9 inch dome lights. I would never let PG&E replace my old lights, had I known about the GU24 I would have declined the "free upgrade".

Pros
  • Loads of good vibes
Cons
  • No power
