Stainless Steel Hand Knitting Kit, 44 pieces and 11 sizes for handmade sweaters and socks is a really useful DPN kit to use for every project you can think of. It's 14 inches / 36 cm long which is unusual to find and means you can make big projects like circular sweaters and big hoods and aren't limited to socks and hats. Each set consists of eleven sets of four needles and sizes from 0 to 8 US and 2.0 to 5.0mm. Sizes are not listed on the kits so you will need a needle gauge to determine them. The needles are packed in a case in the shape of a book with a flap. Needle slots are numbered 6 through 16, which does not indicate the actual size of the needles. The top of the case is not closed and the needles slip out, which I noticed when I first turned the case upside down. I've just discovered a plastic tab on the back of the case that wraps around the needles and tucks into the clear plastic band to keep the needles in place. It's not very durable, but it does the job. The needles have a protective coating that is very easy to wash off. They are smooth and well made and fun to work with. On the back of the case is a plastic pouch which contains a double ended crochet/repair hook and a plastic tapestry needle which are bonus gifts. The bag is big enough to accommodate a needle gauge. Have fun with them. This is a set you won't find very often.
