Just got this to replace the HOB surge protector for my 15 gallon nano reef and am impressed so far. It's very quiet (after you deflate) and I can stack those five trays like a champ (I chose: Coarse, Fine, 2 Seachem Matrix, and then Activated Charcoal). It also has a good flow and overall I like it. It works great as a cheap emergency filter. Just add sponges and whatever conditioner you have on hand and you'll be filtering in no time. What's stopping me from giving it five stars? air removal. You have to tilt and persuade the filter to remove it completely. It can be problematic to do this in the limited space people may have in the back of their tanks. I know I've encountered problems.
