Defective immediately
Installed it on my Small Block Chevy and drove the car for 10 minutes and the temp gauge didn't move, the temp gauge confirmed that the engine was running 100 degrees on the T-Stat case. opened the radiator cap, and the coolant flowed, so the thermostat was not opened right out of the box.
