They are very different but I think that's a plus. Personally, I just wanted them to make sure my eye makeup had sharp edges, so I cut them in half and used one screen for both eyes. If you don't cut them in half, they're great for preventing eye shadow from falling out. I highly recommend that you only remove the top of the backing as there is enough adhesive to attach it to your face. They hold up very well and several reviewers said they felt like they were skinning them. The first time I used them I was careful and taped them to the back of my hand a few times to reduce the stickiness a bit and they still stuck to my face but it didn't hurt to take them off so I would suggest this method. I really don't like junk, so I used them a second time, but as nail strips. I cut off the eye makeup part and cut out the large bottom part without covering the back. That way I could cut the strips without sticking to my scissors and then peel off the backing. In this case, the fact that they are very sticky was a plus. They are a great price and I expect they will last me a long time. I was able to use a shield to do my eye makeup and nail art!
