Review on WiFi router TP-LINK TL-MR150, black by Mateusz Jankowski ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not everything is so bad, but there are disadvantages.

The benefits include acceptable connectivity and portability within urban areas (just buy, insert a SIM card, and you're good to go). But. I take it with me when I leave the city. It doesn't have better signal reception than a conventional phone. I upgraded to a directional street antenna by replacing my regular antennae with it. BUT. The Wi-Fi signal is quite weak. For instance, he successfully catches it in one room, then almost drops it in the next. Unlike kinetic, it has a far greater range of effect. It seemed to me that if multiple phones were connected, the Internet speed would drop significantly, even if no one was using the Internet. If you power it down, it will restart. It's more likely that the router has trouble communicating with several devices. Outcome. An excellent option for mounting on an apartment window from within the same room. If you're renting or living in a foreign country, you should get a kinetic router and connect a usb modem to it; if the speed isn't sufficient, you can leave the antenna alone. This is due to the fact that the kinetic programmer is quick and produces a robust signal. When the connection is poor, you will have to reboot more quickly. I would not suggest that.

Pros
  • An unconventional answer. I inserted the SIM card and turned it on.
Cons
  • There is no improvement in reception quality from a usb modem to lte/3G, and wi-fi is noticeably weaker than on standard routers.
