Yes, this set is pretty complete and yes, the three main tools are more durable than the usual plastic-handled tools you can find elsewhere. I'm a mechanic and have spent tens of thousands of dollars on tools over the past decade, so while I have high standards, I also have a lot of experience with cheap tools. I have a feeling this kit is around $25 instead of almost $40. It's pretty much the same if not the same as some other kits that are a lot cheaper. The Boulder name is poorly laser printed on the cork dilator and applicator which is clear proof that this product is a Chinese quality rebrand intended for distributors to use their own name. The included hex wrench is the wrong size for the set screws you are using so you are most likely loosening the screws if you are just trying to tighten them for proper use. The tongs are of acceptable quality but the handles are such that they will rot in just 5 years whether used or not. One of the four valuable rods I received was damaged right out of the box. Yes, I appreciate the extra parts that come with the kit, but we pay for those "extras" so I want the wrench and set screw to be a perfect match, not one metric and the other standard. Overall I expect this kit to do its job acceptably, although I would be much happier if it was half the price or twice as good.
