The main reason I bought this for my kitchen floor. The mess is usually wet and sticky from dishwashing, oily cooking stains, and dirt left behind by children. My old vacuum just smears the mess and can't get it off the floor. Therefore, I usually have to remove the pieces and moisten them with kitchen paper. This vacuum has been able to handle everything I've thrown at it so far. I recommend emptying/cleaning the dirt bins daily when there is wet debris. Otherwise, a stench may appear. The shells slide out fairly easily. I empty, rinse, toss dry and put them back in. If it's dry waste, you can probably wait for it to fill up. The charging station is a bit big so I put mine in the closet. I just bring my vacuum to charge and take it out when it's done. It doesn't take up any space in my kitchen. All in all, this is a pretty powerful vacuum. It's perfect for cleaning in the kitchen and the lack of cords makes it so easy to use. Love it!
