It was amazing! Ran openmediavault on it, reliably, quietly, ran smoothly and quickly and surprisingly worked better than I expected. It's clearly designed for one purpose - NAS. Don't expect multiple containers to run at peak performance. Unfortunately I had a mobo crash after a month but I don't think it's a design flaw. Rather, it wasn't on the surge protector and it was connected to a PoE switch, said it wasn't supplying power, but I'm pretty sure that might have affected that. Don't spend more than 600 on Synology for storage, you've got a great device that can do it. Finally, 3.5 rims sit relatively tight. The 2.5 inch models are weak, in this case SSDs are recommended as they are much better secured and less prone to vibration injuries.
