Similar to this device in single board computers

Looks like a well-designed NAS/home backup server! - I'm using a Slackware ARM / AArch64 Linux project - low power consumption / can download and host Borgbackup.

Pros
  • , the board has a 16MB SPI Flash chip for the useful petitboot function.
Cons
  • Some nuances

Great little device. Just a tip to watch out for

It was amazing! Ran openmediavault on it, reliably, quietly, ran smoothly and quickly and surprisingly worked better than I expected. It's clearly designed for one purpose - NAS. Don't expect multiple containers to run at peak performance. Unfortunately I had a mobo crash after a month but I don't think it's a design flaw. Rather, it wasn't on the surge protector and it was connected to a PoE switch, said it wasn't supplying power, but I'm pretty sure that might have affected that. Don't spend…

Pros
  • Faster 4GB DDR4 RAM
Cons
  • Security

Great little server for home lab

I'm using this as a combination k3s masternode and Moosefs chunk server. The ARM CPU has good low power consumption and is fanless, yet powerful enough to run Docker and/or Kubernetes. So it's a good choice if you need something for a home lab where you don't want high power or noise levels.

Pros
  • 5.5mm DC jack, UHS-1 compatible Micro SD slot, USB 2.0, HDMI 2.0 and 1GbE ports available on the back of the transparent body.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
