Review on πŸ”’ Safesound Personal Alarm Siren Song - 130dB Self Defense Alarm Keychain with Emergency LED Flashlight, USB Rechargeable - Security Personal Protection Device for Women, Girls, Kids, and the Elderly by Adam Krueger

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Glad I chose this one

There are a few personal alarm clocks on Revain, each with rave reviews that sound the same (suspicious) and none of them is older September 2019 of the year. I chose these for three reasons: the alarm can be activated by swiping a stylus or pressing a button, the battery can be charged via a USB cable, and it comes with a flashlight. This one is more expensive than the others but I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. The alarm is LOUD, I annoyed everyone for pressing the alarm button twice before reading the instructions (tip: you have to hold the button for a while to turn it off). The piece is small and sleek enough to fit snugly in the palm of your hand, it can also be attached to objects such as a leash or purse. The alarm will not go off accidentally as the pin must be pulled firmly and the button pressed twice to activate the alarm (don't get me wrong: to activate you must either pull the pin or press the button twice, you do NOT need to pull the pin AND press the button). The stylus doesn't detach from the device so it can't be lost, and you can't pull out and reinsert the stylus to silence the alarm once the alarm has been activated by double-clicking the button, which I think is a good added security feature (You know how to disable the alarm, but the person attacking you won't). The flashlight is handy for locating lock holes and can be set to flash. It's a nice, reliable little thing that I hope I never have to use, but it certainly offers peace of mind.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
