Just installed so no performance ratings yet, will try to remind myself to update in a few weeks. The product comes with parts for installation in 2 different ways: cable ties or bolts. My trash can (DC) didn't have holes so I had to drill them. Easy enough with a drill and a few regular drill bits. I took the star off because the studs were unreasonably long. Could be twice the size which would make installation much easier. In fact, the long screws made me switch my installation method to cable ties, concerned that an inch of the screw would stick out in my trash can and rip the sacks as I climbed in and out. The zipti fishing was annoying. I would recommend looking at your local hardware store for shorter screws. Then just drill 4 holes and screw on the straps, very simple.
