Review on Hecate GX07 True Wireless Gaming Earbuds - Low Latency - Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (38db) - Dual MIC ENC - Grey by Matthew Hoang

Not worth the price

I loved trying these buds but was very disappointed. I usually think of budget headphones (ie less than $50) and when they're twice the price, they must be a lot better than they actually are. REMOVE THE FILM FROM THE ELECTRODES! The foil normally covers the electrical bits on the headphones, but it sticks to these inside the case. I charged my headphones overnight and at first they just didn't work. Once I found the electrodes closed and charged, the headphones worked much better. Pairing - They were fairly easy to pair once the earbuds were actually charged. Instructions - I'm pretty sure every language in the world is included. There may also be several extinct languages. However, there wasn't room in the instruction manual to cover everything. The cover mentions downloading the app (in very small print), but nowhere else. The Application - Thank goodness the application is there as there are some issues with the controls. You can't change the controls, but there's a decent guide. You can change modes like music/games or noise reduction/surround sound. Case/Battery - I don't like the trick with the hinged doors that much, as they make it a little more difficult to open the lid with a thumb. Although it looks cool. The battery life is pretty good. I'm not sure how long the headphones will last on a single charge as I haven't used them that long, but with the case it's about 26 hours. I can confirm the fast charging of the earphones. Controls - The app says you can change the sensitivity of the touch controls, but even at the highest setting it's been quite a hit. The left and right buds do completely different things. Right earbud - Double tap to play/pause and triple tap to skip a track. Left earbud - Double tap to switch noise canceling mode and triple tap from game mode to music mode. I was only able to get the left controls to work once, and the right controls only worked at maximum sensitivity, although they still didn't work. You can't change the volume using touch controls, even though it works. Comfort is pretty comfortable. I didn't have to change the ear pads, but there are 3 sizes. Noise cancellation - yes. Considering they're $129 today, the ANC is terrible. With cheaper headphones you get much better ANC. I could hear the TV through my headphones no matter what mode I had it on. I couldn't change the mode with the earbud but when I changed it in the app the voice said it had changed. But it's not great. However, it sounded better than the surround sound. Latency – There is no noticeable lag when streaming shows. The voices match the words perfectly. I don't play but I think players will like it. The sound quality is very good. There's a music mode and a game mode and I actually find that the music sounds a bit better in game mode, although I think the bass is slightly better in music mode. gave them 3 stars. If the touch controls worked I would give them another star. There is no lag, the sound is really good. But the touch controls were very fuzzy and the ANC wasn't great. I have several pairs of buds that are three times cheaper but they are just as good or even better. Very disappointed.
