PRO: Build quality is very good. Its base is aluminum with a good finish. The screen quality is decent. Can charge up to 8 batteries up to 12V 18W with the Qc 3.0 charger, you can get the advertised 1.5 amp charge. 2 Eneloop AA batteries charged from 88% to 100% at 0.8 A in 1:42 min. CONS: Here the charger disappointed. The advertised individual cells only mean that each port can be disabled individually. does NOT mean that each cell can be charged with different amperage. I was hoping to be able to mix AA and AAA with this charger but it means I have to lower the amperage to charge AAA and charge more slowly for AA. No memory function! Every time I want to charge I have to choose the battery type and charging speed. But the real downside is that the charger nearly ruined my Eneloop battery. The charger said my AAA battery was 99% full at 1.45V. But it never got to 100% and the charger never switched off and tried to charge above 1.58V. At this point I unplugged the battery and it was very hot to the touch. Of the 4 batteries that were charged, only 1 turned off. I also tried updating the firmware from their website. Chrome detects the file as a virus. And when I bypass Chrome and force the download, Windows deletes the file that says it's a virus. So I had to disable all virus scanners on the PC and that finally allowed me to save and run the file. The page shows firmware 1.0.2 and on my device it was 1.0.12. However, their firmware update tool said I was already on the latest version. Maybe it was a virus after all. Bottom line: if you want to charge one set of batteries at a time, this will work. However, if you're constantly charging different sets of batteries, this might not work for you. I'm going back to my original Eneloop charger.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
