Not at all what I expected.

The sound quality is satisfying. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I am satisfied. A Sennheiser HD439 and HD215 II are also in my possession. There is no question that Audio-Technica produces a superior sound. The ability to isolate noise is beneficial. There is absolutely no sound coming from the surrounding area. About the weight, I continue to believe that they are cumbersome. After one to two hours, mental effort becomes taxing. A extremely complicated design, and I have no clue as to why they decided to go with a foldable construction. Extra kink on the road. There are instances when you are unsure of which way to twist something to put it on your head. Someone else has written about how unreliable the design is in terms of its outward look. Strangely, they appear to be put together very carefully, and there is no indication that any component will get detached from the rest of the whole. The set is complete; it comes with two wires that are each 3 meters long, and one of the cables is twisted. What? Seriously? Wouldn't it make more sense to have 3 meters of twisted cable and 1.2 meters of straight cable? You look even further into the packaging and find a booklet in which the bundles of other headphones are drawn. In the M50x, they put a 1.2-meter cable in the bundle, but they did not include one in the M40x. Feeling like you got screwed. Again, we're out of luck with the 2.5 mm connector. There was nothing that could stop the production of a 3.5mm jack. When looking to purchase headphones that have a cable that can be detached, you should anticipate seeing a 3.5mm-3.5mm connection. And here, between 2.5mm and 3.5mm, with a lock of some kind (which is not needed at all). In a nutshell, it's not easy to track down the wire either. Yet you can't live without him because. Only three meters are counted! I don't see why somebody would spend $2002–$2500 on a wire when they could just get a copy of the original instead. I'm afraid not. I was able to find it on Ali for a price of 800 riyals (hospade, 800r for a wire from CHINA). Outcome. The sound is fantastic, and they fit well, however there is a lot of pressure, and it can be tiring on the head. The process of purchasing something is very frustrating. I have decided not to purchase any further headphones by Audio-Technica. So, of course, the blame lies squarely on my shoulders; I ought to have looked at the reviews and equipment. But I did not look and ordered. There is not a single unfavorable comment on this page; yet, gold is not headphones. On the other hand, the headphones themselves come with a few drawbacks (the design, weight, pressure, the 2.5mm jack is also disgusting). Hardly no one has ever written about them. Everything about this is quite suspect!

Pros
  • - Isolation from Sound and Noise
Cons
  • Negative aspects include the following: a pressing sensation on the head; possible weight; a very intricate design; the equipment; a 2.5 mm wire connector; and an unpleasant sensation following the purchase.
