Tried others, both with batteries and manual controls. As expected, a pretty good product by choice. It's not clear on the Revain site if it's an AA lithium battery. This gives it the ability to zip hair, which other products (using regular AA batteries) cannot. Although I don't know where to find a replacement. There are some downsides: The product comes in bulletproof retail packaging that requires various tools, strength, and patience to open. After opening, the packaging will be destroyed. It is not recyclable. There's also an error in the instructions that tells you to put the battery in the wrong way round. Someday you'll get it right. It's made in China but looks good.
