Review on πŸ”Š Enhance Audio Clarity: InstallGear 14 Gauge AWG 100ft Speaker Wire - Oxygen-Free Copper with True Spec by Leon Johnsson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect fit for my application

Since I spend a lot of time in my garage (e.g. car and motorcycle maintenance, workshop, gym, etc.), I wanted to add a decent sound system to enjoy. I've had an old boombox from the 80's for years but was ready for an upgrade. I hooked up a Pioneer AVR, CD player and Mirage 460 speakers, but I used very old flimsy speaker wire from my first stereo I bought in the early 80's. The speaker wire was very thin and silver on both ends (so it's definitely not copper or even CCA). The sound was ok but I figured it wouldn't hurt to upgrade to a better cable. I have about 25 feet of walking distance to each speaker from the receiver. I considered buying 12 gauge wire but figured it would probably be overkill. The 14 gauge seemed like the right choice for me, so I went through a lot of wires and reviews to try to figure out the best quality for the money. I kept coming back to InstallGear Oxygen Free Copper 14 Gauge; it got great reviews, met all my requirements and looked great. I was not disappointed. The 14 gauge wire is a big step up from what I used and the quality of the wire shows in the physical properties and tone. I would buy it again if I needed more speaker wire.
