The part is good. Used on a reverse osmosis system to replace a part that broke accidentally during installation and it worked really great which is why I give it 3 stars. This piece is specifically for a pipeline that you need to put some kind of pipe in, and when you do that you need this flared piece of brass (not sure what the official name is) that will hold the pipe in place so that it doesn't leak or come off. Since it wasn't part of the whole component, it led me to go to the store. I think it's important to know that the brass part was not included due to its intended use, but I've never seen any mention of it, so just a warning to anyone intending to use it on a plumbing line. Also, I didn't have any leakage issues once everything was assembled.
