I've been using the French Press since the 90's and have had a definite tummy for the past 15 years. Unfortunately my trusty old ABS screen eventually broke and as it is very old and uses a different finish there were no replacement parts for it. So I couldn't resist and bought this one. 1) The lid does not indicate where the filler hole is. Even my old stainless steel had an embossed arrow to make it easier to find the stuffing that was cut. 2) The volume listed is 1 liter, and it's probably like this - COMPLETELY, the problem is that if you count the entire volume, there's no room to grind. Once the grist is in the press, you lose all that volume, and as a result, this press really only makes 6 cups instead of 8. It's a mech french press.
