I really wanted to love this french press. It has a nice design, but there are a few design flaws in my opinion. 1. The nut on the bottom of the piston is rusting after a few uses, leading me to believe all parts are NOT stainless steel. 2. The filter leaves a lot to be desired, a double filter can be worthwhile for fine sediment. For the price I thought I was getting a quality press. I ended up returning it and buying another one for $15 less that worked much better.

I prefer this one of my glass french press with plastic handle. I went with this one instead because it broke when I got out of the dishwasher. It's durable, the handle is solid metal, and there's no chance of it breaking or wrinkling. It's perfect for a nerd like me. The only problem is that the lid is a bit loose. It's heavy so I have to hold it with my thumb when I pour the coffee or else it will fall into my coffee cup and the coffee grounds will spill out with it haha this is really easy…

I've been using the French Press since the 90's and have had a definite tummy for the past 15 years. Unfortunately my trusty old ABS screen eventually broke and as it is very old and uses a different finish there were no replacement parts for it. This is a nice, durable press that works well and is easy to clean. Good thing there isn't a glass in it as our others were simply smashed by the heat of the coffee in the glass.
