After watching an easy step by step tutorial on YouTube I wanted to try felting so I was glad to see this kit on Amazon for such a great price! In general, the project probably took 1.5 to 2 hours. It helped that I watched some instructional videos beforehand (that's the best way to learn). The instructions were very clear and direct! The only part that completely confused me was the instructions for the thread for the eyes. I read it over and over again until I said "forget it" and used the plastic eyes I had on hand for another project. The embroidery on the back was also a bit confusing but I didn't delve further into it, since I was going to use them as pincushions anyway. I skipped this step. (Although I usually need a video tutorial so I can't say it will be that confusing for everyone.) I accidentally didn't use all the wool and my hedgehog was a lot longer. when he was growing up, but as my mom said, I just "made it myself" and am still very happy with it! I use it as a pin cushion (I saw another reviewer do the same!). While not worth deducting a star, I wish there was somewhere on the packaging that said how much wool was in, so I would have a link if I buy more wool online. I'm very satisfied so far!
