Significantly quieter than solenoid valves!
Pros: Makes so little noise compared to doors with magnetic wings. The dog learned how to handle it very quickly. Looks nice. Well done. Stable frame and doors. Cons: High price! Installation took most of the day (by a husband who is knowledgeable about such projects). Our plexidor was built into the wall leading to our garage from the inside of the house. The medium sized door is perfect for our 18" Aussie Cattle Dog (shoulder height, not head height) 32#. but I would definitely recommend a large plexidor for a dog his size if needed for regular everyday use.
