Review on πŸ‹ LemonBest Universal 15-Inch Pu Leather Car Steering Wheel Cover - Anti Slip Auto Car Wrap-Slipcover with Stitch Design by Michael Robertson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No EZ task for old eyes with a black cap; looks unprofessional but is a definite improvement and can't match the price

UPDATE: I've upped my rating from a 4 to a 5 despite the lack of instructions as this coating is still going strong a year later ; looks as good as it did then. ** Supplied without INSTRUCTIONS but saved by numerous YouTube videos on the subject. "Universal" means you get a less "professional" result. My C280 spokes are covered in leather from the factory, so the "Universal" product doesn't have the "flaps" to cover the spokes that much more expensive "special" covers have. But for the price (about 4-5 times cheaper than "fitted" cases) it was worth it. My 20 year old steering wheel looks and feels 99% better than the old cracked and torn leather steering wheel that was covered up. ***General Warning*** If you need reading glasses, I do not recommend trying them yourself. My old eyes were a real disadvantage for me. My black thread on the black leather case was IMPOSSIBLE to see without severely bucking the driver's seat, and the dim low light made it a pathetic task even with a mini flashlight in my mouth. Not as easy as it looks on the video (with red on black or white on black thread/leather clearly visible. I finally found the "feel" of my way to be workable for me. As mentioned, not a perfect job, but much better than "what was there. If I had to do it again in the future, I'd invest an additional $20-25 for a set of spoke covers that label my car's wheel by year/model. Also, now I know what I' PS Several videos recommend 8x the length (4x if doubling) the length of thread per spoke to the length of the spoke, this kit is NOT for that long length, I've had around 4-5x the span of a single without any issues Thread used, but it would have run out mid-span if I tried the suggested "8X" length.

Pros
  • Includes thread and needle
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
