Excellent radio! Initially I was VERY disappointed with the FM reception. Then I noticed a pocket in the battery compartment with the antenna folded inward. As soon as I released him from his tiny prison I had great FM reception! (Can you understand my embarrassment? I should have read the manual. LOL) I later bought the charger that came with it. Batteries last a LONG time, but I calculated that at $9.95 I would start saving batteries in about 18 months. I mostly listen to talk shows - 2 on AM and 1 on FM. I couldn't even hear the FM station until I set up the antenna! I have a pretty good Emerson radio with good AM reception but poor VHF reception on my low power VHF channel. This radio is better than Emerson!
