The ad says GLASS. This is a PLASTIC MIRROR.

The ad clearly says it's glass, then it says it's plastic. THIS IS A PLASTIC MIRROR. Regardless, the mirror just popped out due to the sun hitting the assembly when it was on my patio the first day. As soon as I put it back in, it stayed. The mirror is too CONVEX and therefore any objects that are very close to my bike are too small to be seen. This is normal for reduced speed areas such as B. Public areas – day or night. THIS IS USELESS AND UNSAFE ON AN OPEN HIGHWAY AT HIGHWAY SPEED BECAUSE IT IS TOO CONVENIENT. If I see a car coming from behind on an open highway, it's too close to safely change lanes or make a turn, especially at night. The only time I need a mirror is on an open highway. Another driver behind me who is in draft position appears to be 25-30 yards behind me when in fact he is directly overhead. It will not fit a 25.4 handlebar even with the included inserts. It can't be that small. I'm sure a larger diameter handlebar would work well. It vibrates too much when driving on non-ideal roads. However, stopping it completely would be almost impossible. Vibration aggravates a very inefficient and overly convex mirror. Bottom line: don't buy this. I like the mount but the mirror is useless.
