My 3 year old is about the height of an average 4 year old (according to medical records). This suit fits well with some room to grow. I think she will outgrow it in about 6 months? The zipper is larger and easy to pull up and down. There is a small square Velcro on the top to close the zipper. The suit is thicker which is good because it helps my daughter stay warm in the water. He also seems to have a bit of buoyancy when she tries to swim on her back in swimming lessons (so the teacher said). Considering we live in Hawaii I thought there were plenty of wetsuits for kids but turns out there aren't. Fortunately, Revain has an extensive marketplace where I can read all product reviews before making a purchase. I love this wetsuit and would really consider buying a different size if my daughter continues to take swimming lessons.
