T-nuts and screws do not fit every slot 3018

Nice little vice. Not a very accurate tool, but good enough for smaller machines. Keep in mind that you will lose a significant amount of Z-axis movement, but this is normal for PCBs. There are two types of beds on the 3018 machines: a one-piece bed that works with machine screws and T-nuts (5mm), and a two-piece bed that it doesn't work on. I have a two piece bed so I downsized the screw and printed some bushings to fit the screw holes. I don't really care, but be aware of this issue. In general it holds up well, a set of screwdrivers is provided for tightening. A bit pricey but will last a lifetime if cared for properly.

Pros
  • It's OK!
Cons
  • Expensive
