I replaced the left side mirror on my 2003 Suburban LT 4WD. The original mirror had an auto dimming feature but as I couldn't find a replacement with that feature I used this mirror instead. The original got hot too. I am very happy with this replacement. This is a quality OEM replacement with excellent fit and finish. Easy to install and works as it should. For those who have complained about "fun house" distortion, they just didn't install it properly. It took me a few extra minutes to insert the mirror in a circle near the center of the mirror to fully lock the clips into the plastic mounts. I also had a few minor installation issues (not the fault of the manufacturer or supplier) as the 4 pin connector was difficult to assemble so I just gently squeezed it with a larger pair of pliers and it fitted perfectly into the new connector Mirror. The new spade lugs were also too sloppy to stay on the 2 heated mirror terminals. On inspection I saw that the old spades were thicker so I just gently squeezed the 2 old plugs together so they were a bit narrower and then they slid in and fitted snugly.
