Review on 🚗 Enhanced Performance: Monroe 555001 Gas-Magnum 65 Shock Absorber by Steven Lane

I gave it one star first (see original review below) and then changed it to five stars. After contacting Monroe when my 30 day return window was up, they asked me to fill out a form they sent to Revain to clarify the product warranty. I heard nothing for over a week, then Revain sent me FOUR new shocks in lieu of a replacement (one leaked on the first ride). I was completely surprised when I gave up the idea that nothing should happen for a warranty exchange. Since I had to install a new damper there before winter (the first snow and more had already fallen over the weekend), I ordered a replacement so that I could remove the fifth wheel for the season. Understand my only shock and the four they sent me arrived on the same day! However, I am very thankful for the four new shock absorber replacements! I guess I'll be returning one to refund the cost of an unneeded replacement I ordered. FIRST CHECK: On our first and only ride of the year with less than 680 miles round trip, I discovered that one of the four installed shocks was LEAKING fluid. Service. To be honest I am very disappointed with these Monroe shocks. It took me a lot of work to get the tandem side high enough to remove and install the twin-bolt shocks. Now I need another expensive (for me) shock absorber and I have to remove and reinstall it after a ride! VERY DISAPPOINTED!
