Didn't know what I was missing

Day and night, surprisingly smooth ride, my old shock absorbers were so badly used they wouldn't break in when removed. New shock absorbers ensure a good ride.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Good but not great

Missing parts and two different colors

I ordered 4 of these shocks, two were painted yellow and two were black, the packaging of all the shocks were not opened but one was missing hardware so I had to use my 18 summer rubber isolators and nuts

Pros
  • Grand Prize
Cons
  • Expensive

Not for trailers over #10,000 or tandem applications

not for heavy duty. Had to replace three of these in the first 10 months. I replaced them with 555025 which were not included when ordering. This is not suitable for trailers over 10,000 GVW or tandem axles. They are too easy tasks. Suggest 555025 for tandem axle trailers over 10,000 years old.

Pros
  • a good thing
Cons
  • reliability

A typical upgrade for a drive-through trailer, new gas-filled shock absorbers. Was SUPER excited about the yellow paint version but didn't get it. Disappointed. I am sure that they work well and are clearly superior to the removed shock absorbers. But I wanted YELLOW as shown in the photo.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some nuances

Yellow not shown

They are not yellow, they are black. It's not really a big deal, but all other buyers' photos are shown in yellow, and the off-road trailer we mounted them on is yellow. Also, the On trac delivery service delivered them around 7:30pm (dark) in front of our property, about 1/4 mile from the house, leaning against a fence post, right?

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Legacy

Shock absorbers for my motorhome on shock absorber

The shock absorbers were a little long when I replaced the old shock absorbers. It was possible to attach them without the first rubber pad, but when it was added it was not possible to compress them enough to fit the mounting brackets. With a little thought I was able to alter the top mount to fit it. When I pulled a trailer I installed them on it and it greatly improved handling and I was able to get them to work.

Pros
  • weight
Cons
  • zero

NOT YELLOW, 1 SHOCK PACK

This is a quality shock but the seller is using some misleading marketing schemes. As all the other comments say, my shock turned black, NOT YELLOW. This is a misleading sales tactic, advertising as yellow and sending everything that is convenient for the seller is crap. THERE IS ONLY 1 SHOCK. If you need 2 shocks, which almost everyone does, order 2 shocks. Again the box says 2 shocks if the sale goes for 1. Also. misleading. Quality production - manipulative sale.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Unusable features

Great shock absorbers at a great price

Our 5 turned 24, we bought him this summer and then our work started. The interior was near perfect so didn't take much, my DW made new curtains etc etc. Exterior maintenance was in my wheelhouse. When it came to beatings, they were dead. So it was difficult to find a replacement. These RV sites charge astronomical prices so I went to the local Napa but no luck! I then found them, read the reviews, did my due diligence and placed my order having removed all 4 wheels to repack the wheel bearings

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • So so

Surprised after initial disappointment

I gave it one star first (see original review below) and then changed it to five stars. After contacting Monroe when my 30 day return window was up, they asked me to fill out a form they sent to Revain to clarify the product warranty. I heard nothing for over a week, then Revain sent me FOUR new shocks in lieu of a replacement (one leaked on the first ride). I was completely surprised when I gave up the idea that nothing should happen for a warranty exchange. Since I had to install a new damper

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Good mostly but...
