I bought this step ladder in order to reach the top shelves of our newly remodeled kitchen (with 42 inch top cabinets). They are white and the step ladder matches the white cabinets and does solve the reach problem. My wife wanted a ladder with a high handle so she could brace herself (holding on) vs. just the steps. This adds weight but this ladder is so much safer. The ladder is very sturdy. I have docked 1 point due to the weight of the ladder which is a little problem for my wife, but it's an acceptable trade off for the added safety. I would recommend this ladder. Note, you will need a handy place to store the ladder upright because it won't fit in the cabinets due to it's length.
