When I received this door alarm, I was surprised how small it is. I just love it though. It is small but handy and can therefore easily be taken with you when travelling. It's just a doorstop and will respond if its plate is pressed when the door is opened. The siren is loud enough to disturb when it goes off. I use it every night in my apartment and it gives me another way to feel safe. I have to pick it up first thing every morning so I'm thinking of opening the door for someone and walking it. It's small and light and my cat likes to play with it so I have to put it on the counter. during the day so she doesn't understand. If you don't have a pet, you can leave them on the floor next to the wall and out of the way if you like. least sensitive but I feel good about it as I think he will get a lot of pressure if someone opens the door for him.
