Keeps breaking before full use

I carry a few in my bag because the floss breaks before it cleans all of my teeth, even though I'm pretty gentle with it. The floss is smooth and glides well. Other brands I've used last longer without breaking. However, the price is right. It has good reviews so to be honest I may have gotten a bad batch.
