Great alternative to abrasive cut-off wheels

I originally bought this product just in case. A few months later I found out how useful it really is. Having used Dremel for over six years, I am used to using traditional ablative (consumable) cut-off wheels. Although they are excellent for many applications, cutting accuracy is often undesirable. In addition, the frequency of replacement and the associated costs are far from ideal. So when I needed to cut hardened steel tubing on a bicycle suspension fork, I was glad to have a Dremel diamond disc in my arsenal. Bicycle repair manuals have traditionally suggested using an overhead tube cutter to cut the head tube. measure up. When I tried it with my new RockShox Dart II fork, the metal was so hard it chewed through the cutter wheel. The standard Dremel cutting wheel could cut through hardened steel, but the cut was a bit sloppy. A thinner and harder diamond blade provided better accuracy. Also, the diameter didn't change, providing a consistent feel. Overall, the Dremel Diamond Disc is a great product that will save you time and money in the long run. Even if you don't need such a product immediately, this is a good product for those rare occasions when you unexpectedly need to cut extremely hard material. ProThin and stiffer than ablative circles. MaterialsInexpensive
