Very satisfied: Cutting discs

The thing cuts tiles and old joints like butter and also gets into very narrow spaces. I bought two of these to remove old glue and grout in very fine lines. to repair old tombstones if inappropriate materials were used in the old repair. I also had to cut some tiles and some old grout lines. The ride was very efficient. The lock is a bit tricky to use but once I got the hang of it it was fine. I haven't had mine for a long time so can't comment on durability, but so far it's looking prettyโ€ฆ

  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Easy to repair

Instead, get a diamond blade for your angle grinder.

Used this to carefully cut grout between tiles I wanted to remove. It cut through about 4-5 feet of cement mortar before catching fire and sparks flying everywhere. I walked slowly. took frequent breaks. and splashed the bat with water all the time. I had to finish the job, so I switched to a diamond masonry bit for my angle grinder. He did the rest without wear and tear. This wafer-thin diamond disc can be useful for certain purposes. But for any work with tiles (including detailed work withโ€ฆ

Perfect Backslash Cut

I had an old microwave in my house with a decorative backslash. Unfortunately, the height of the microwave was so low that there were only 2 options for replacement. After doing a little research I found this blade for my Dremel and decided to give it a try. It worked great, I am very happy with Dremel at the moment as I now have hundreds of microwave options. Measure twice, make sure it's level, mark a line with a pencil, wear safety goggles and a dust mask (requires 100%), use a vacuum rightโ€ฆ

Cutting ceramic floor tiles

I used this attachment to cut 32 inch (in a straight line) laid mosaic floor tile (5/16 thick) in a doorway. I installed a marble sill and had to sink it into the ground. This diamond saw easily cuts tiles at the maximum speed of the Dremel tool. I used a flexible shaft to get a perpendicular cut. The tool/motor itself was too big to use without a bevel cut. There is still a lot of sand on the board. I found the EZ-Lock feature to be less than ideal because it doesn't stay as rigid as a solidโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High test results for grip and durability
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great for small tile cutting jobs

I bought this to cut stone tiles in my kitchen. I only had to cut tiles for a 24" section and about 3 sockets (18 tiles total). I didn't want to buy or rent a tile cutter or tile cutter. When researching how to cut tiles without a saw or cutter, I was thrilled to see that I could do it with my handy Dremel tool! I found this little gem. A friend told me to order more than one but I only got one because it's a bit pricey. worth every penny! It was a lot cheaper and easier for me to buy this andโ€ฆ

Works great but too expensive

They work really well but yes they are too expensive. .but i only use this expensive bike for one purpose. I use it to sharpen my large circular blades for my large saws. where precision means safety and reliability and there is no substitute. only the dremel brand wheels spin properly at the high end of the speed scale. Each carbide tooth on a blade must be sharpened the same way, at the same angle, to the same size, and support nearly the same weight. otherwise you have a very sharp objectโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Lots of things

Let the hard drive do its thing!

I used this to cut through three quarter inch thick stone and concrete pouring (Photo 1). The right angle bit for my Dremel was necessary since the cut was about 2.5 inches from the edge of the workpiece. Hold the tool firmly, but only apply enough downward pressure to keep the blade in a straight line: about the same pressure as you would use a pencil to write on paper. No stress. I marked the cutting line around the entire perimeter of the workpiece. First I cut it out from the outside (photo

Great alternative to abrasive cut-off wheels

I originally bought this product just in case. A few months later I found out how useful it really is. Having used Dremel for over six years, I am used to using traditional ablative (consumable) cut-off wheels. Although they are excellent for many applications, cutting accuracy is often undesirable. In addition, the frequency of replacement and the associated costs are far from ideal. So when I needed to cut hardened steel tubing on a bicycle suspension fork, I was glad to have a Dremel diamond

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Minor issues
