This is a lovely tablecloth with a few flaws: 1) At least on the matte side, it's hard to tell if you got it clean. It looks like there is already an oil stain there, but I'm not sure. If you use a sponge with a normal amount of dishwashing liquid, you have to rub it several times to get the soap out of the small grooves. 2) She shrinks. I read about it when I ordered it but due to the horrible chemical vinyl smell when it arrived we had to air it out in the basement of our new house for over a week. My husband put it on our new kitchen table while I was away. There were NO instructions in the packaging AT ALL, so he didn't know to cut a bit more. It shrank between 1/8-1/4 inch at one end, potentially damaging that area. Luckily there are only three of us in the house now, but when we have a full house we have to make sure our guests remember this place. Serious. That's ridiculous. Instructions must be included. As mentioned, it doesn't lie completely flat, but that wasn't a problem for us. thicker so we don't have to worry about heat transfer. We used to have a Corian table so we used coasters or thick placemats to protect the table itself with that finish. Would buy it again just wish it had instructions Who remembers it shrinking a few weeks after ordering?!
