Silverado trucks have a thick mirror with compass and airbag gauges preventing this from working. It's nowhere near thick enough to go through the transom or fit between the transom mount and wiring. I can't give any information on how it works because it doesn't fit my vehicle. But it is as described and the seller quickly refunded me because of this problem.
