Bought this 8th 7200rpm drive for its speed and storage space. In fact, it wasn't even used/installed until May, so it didn't even take 2 months to die. Wasn't recognized out of nowhere in Windows 10. Suddenly came up as "unallocated", error initializing or trying to reformat. I thought "no big deal" as it might be a problem with Windows 10, I put it in an external storage box, but no. Dead. Did. Fortunately, there were no important files on it. Toshiba wasn't helpful and doesn't seem to care about the consumer, citing "user error" lol. I've been building PCs for 20 years, sorry, that's nonsense. It's a crappy ride, period. So the moral of the story is: don't buy Toshiba drives, stick with proven brands (Samsung, WD, Crucial, Sandisk) that have never had any problems with them.
