I bought this humidifier to replace a much smaller humidifier from another manufacturer I had in my son's bedroom that I thought was no longer working (turned out to be user error, but I digress). For a "mini" humidifier, this is excellent performance. I consider it to be in the mid to high range for fog performance and need to top it up every other day max when it's on 24 hours a day. This is fantastic as the old one had to be refilled in just one night. I also noticed a significant improvement in my son's health. In the spring, his tonsils and adenoids were removed and tubes placed in his ears. Since we switched to this humidifier about last month, he hasn't had a cough or a stuffy nose! Pros: - Good capacity - Large filling/cleaning hole - Works well - Doesn't seem to gurgle loudly Cons: - Makes a buzzing noise, louder than our previous humidifier (doesn't seem to bother my son). It's not obscenely loud, more like faint white noise. For some people this may not be a problem at all; for me i like silent when i sleep. Of course it will make some noise, but I find it a bit louder than I'm used to. - I'm already cleaning it from mold. It was easy to wipe down with a Clorox cloth but I don't seem to be doing that yet. In my opinion, however, this cannot be avoided. "Mini" is misleading. It's certainly smaller than the regular Vicks Cool Mist humidifier (I have that too), but compared to my previous small humidifier (I think it was labeled a "personal humidifier"), this one is easily twice the size. Since it can take so long between fills, that's not a problem for me, but if you're short on space and looking for something small, it might be more than you'd expect. Be sure to check the dimensions. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. I would buy it again if my other humidifiers go up in price.
