Review on ⏲️ Ticktime Timer: Multi-Function Electronic Digital Cube Timer for Kids, Pomodoro Timer with Time and Alarm Function - Ideal for Work, Exercise, Games, Cooking by Natalie Wright

Good idea, bad execution

I've been trying out a lot of different timers lately, hoping to find something unobtrusive for my desk to handle tomato cycles and give me minutes before I start preparing from the intense work the meeting must change. This is not the case - since this is done with a segmented display and not an array of pixels (also just for the mid-range), the time on 4 of the 6 settings will be incorrect. It's *extremely* distracting when I'm trying to get my work done. Setting a custom time is a very slow process as the only method is the button to increase the minutes and seconds. No fix and no reset. If you make a mistake, you must leave the device alone for the timeout to expire. If you want to set a 90-minute timer, you must first spend at least a minute fiddling with the device: two or more if you make a mistake. The magnets on the back seem like a good idea, but really aren't. Strong enough for magnetic glass boards. Only useful when attaching to a fridge or directly to a metal surface. I would prefer not to have magnets at all so I can toss the device in my pocket and not worry about it ruining a credit card or electronic device in my pocket. + Small form factor is great. dial. + The ability to start preset timers by rotating the device is cool. It would be cooler if I could create my own presets and just label them with stickers. + The max volume beep is loud enough to get my attention even when I'm playing music and clicking on a mechanical keyboard.
