I bought this tripod for a cheap spotting scope I bought recently (the one that came with it was useless) - it took the view from difficult to very impressive. I almost bought another tripod but am very glad I chose this one. I use it on a bench and it's the perfect height on the lowest settings, but being able to slide higher is a huge plus! It's also very durable - when I was using it, strong winds knocked over other things I had on my bench but not my scope. The legs are made of aluminum and everything looks very high quality. I've only used it once so far, but I'm very happy with the purchase.
