Essential for any Jura Capresso machine that needs to be used to descale the water. I use a filter on my ENA3 and found that after a year in my new home my new water was much harder than my previous home. I've noticed that my coffee isn't that hot anymore and it's starting to leak. After some research I found that I had to descale the machine because of the minerals that the Jura filters didn't collect. After two descaling processes, the machine worked much better. Each descaling session uses two tabs - six tabs are included (two in each blister). Make sure you dissolve it in a separate container of warm water before adding it to the reservoir. I also found that once the descaling process was complete, I had to run a full tank of water through the faucet to rinse it out (after the normal rinse cycle) to get rid of any weird tastes. Now that I understand this, I will descale my machine at least twice a year for maintenance.
