My wife loves to cook and she loves to cook in cast iron pans. Since she's a cook, I'm a dishwasher. I love cast iron pans too, but I'm trying to find a good way to clean them. These are Lodge pans and I used Lodge scrapers but it still hurt and they left too many baking marks. So I decided to try stainless steel mail. I couldn't be happier. My wife made cheeseburgers and some cheese and stuff was baked in a pan. As you can see, it has a raised grilling surface. I didn't get to the pot until the next day. I warmed up the pan a bit and got to work. The effort was about the same or slightly less than the scrapers, but the result was a much cleaner pan, even between the raised grilling surfaces. Later my wife walked around the kitchen and was shocked to see how clean the pan was and even commented on it. . You can see what the mail looks like after cleaning. Cleaning the stainless steel post was just as easy. A little morning soap, mixed it in my hand and washed it. I was happy with the overall process and wouldn't be afraid to wash another cast iron skillet. Just a pity I received it earlier and didn't wait for the price to drop.
