Review on ALEGI Aquarium Sponge Filter Airline Fish & Aquatic Pets by Jamie Rios

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Weighted bottom safe for juvenile fish and shrimp

I have two 10 gallon filters and they are great for small aquariums. They have thin sponges with fine pores that are safe for fry and shrimp. One reviewer wrote that they were underweight, but I found them perfectly weighted. It's as hard as the Aquarium Cooperative. The only difference is the thin sponge and how the air tube enters the middle of the filter (bottom instead of top). Like anything else you put in your aquarium, pre-rinse it and place it in a wet state. He sinks well. They came with airstones, air hoses, check valves and air splitters as advertised. All in all a great Vale for the money.

Pros
  • Recommended aquarium size: 50 gallons
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
