At first I thought it couldn't compare to the luxury of thick bath towels. Of course not, but I like convenience a lot more than a few extra pounds of cotton. I've been using it for five years now and I'm sure it doesn't have the smooth and slick qualities of traditional Turkish towels or the sheer luxury of thick cotton towels, but it's very comfortable and has no holes. While there are issues from time to time, that doesn't affect functionality or looks - perhaps because white on white is hard to see. The only thing I would recommend is NOT to take this if you are 14+ tall and over 5ft 10in. It doesn't close and opens too wide underneath.
