It's just OK but for the price I was expecting better

I got this for my 2011 Wrangler. After trips to the park with the dog, there is sand and dirt that gets trapped in the carpet, especially the space between the seat and sides of the Jeep. Plus having the top off, there is just a lot of general crap that finds it way into the carpet. With claims of being a "perfect fit" written on the box combined with a price that seemed to justify those claims, I had high hopes.I'll start with the negatives. This product is definitely not a perfect fit but overall it is fine but no more than that. To the casual observer, it could look factory. Since I installed it and I know where the issues are, it is just another aftermarket product that doesn't meet all of its lofty claims. There are small gaps and places where the liner doesn't want to go but it should. Maybe the liner is just fine and I wasn't installing it just right? There is no way to know. The instructions are pretty sparse and lacking. I definitely would not trust this in the winter without floor mats. There is absolutely nothing to stop salty, melted snow from collecting underneath the liner since installation is just sliding it underneath the plastic trim around the floorboards. Any water will just run under the trim and collect under the liner. It probably took me 3 hours to install. I had to remove some trim around the base of the front seat belts to get some pieces to fit into place. I didn't take the front seats out but if you did it would make installation a lot easier. Now the positives. The good news is, I have had no issues using floor mats or the cargo mat I had purchased previously for the rear. So I'm not worried about salt water collecting between the liner and floor. So far, it meets all its other claims of being tough and easier to clean. I haven't tried to clean mud out of it but the loose stuff that used to get trapped in the carpet simply vacuums right up. 'Armor All type' products leave it looking pretty good. My Jeep also smells better now since removing the factory carpet (I bought my Jeep used so who knows whats been spilled in there). I would not, however, want to have to remove this liner to clean on any sort of regular basis. I always have the option of going back to carpet if I want to.Overall, I don't hate it but I don't love it either.I purchased this from a retailer other than ebay. I purchased both the front and rear liner kits.

Pros
  • Bedrug BTJK07F2 BedTred Front Cargo Liner Kit for Jeep JK 2-Door
Cons
  • The BedRug BTJK07F2 may not be suitable for drivers who frequently transport muddy or dirty items, as it may be difficult to clean and maintain over time
